As an aside I will tell a tale of a couple of these species and near relatives.
A.tagala is a native speicies in my area and a foodplant for the magnificent Cairns birdwing butterfly.It has small drab flowers. A.ringens has nice flowers but has gone feral and kiils the confused butterflies. Pararistolochias are also native and most have great flowers and are also used by the Cairns birdwing butterflies.A.tagala has been planted all around my area from the dwindling wild stocks to enhance butterfly numbers and interestingly the red bodies swallowtail and big greasy also have caterpillars on A.tagala and these are large and striking butterfies also,
