WANTED - Pineapple Plant on Maui, Hawaii

Hello,

I'm new here to the forum, I'm looking to buy a pineapple plant as a gift, preferably with a small pineapple already growing out of it.

Where would you recommend buying one?  Any recommendations regarding the variety?  I am located on Maui.

Best one I ever had was from the backside of Maui. It was at a stand where you just put money in the can, and you could smell it from the other side of the road. It has sugary resin between the eyes of the fruit.
