Best mango peeling/cutting tool

I think this may be new to the market, and not sure if everybody has heard of this thing.  Don't know what it is even called.  I think it should just be known as...KNIFE.

It's a very old fashioned knife - it's a boning knife for removing bones from meat. Suppose it would work well for de seeding too:)

I can fillet any fish perfectly, but butcher mangoes when trying to fillet them.

Go figure.

The problem with mangos isn't peeling them. The real logistical problem is peeling them without getting a drippy sticky mess all over you. This is why mangos are never offered unpeeled at fine restaurants. Can you imagine having to peel a mango with your fine threads on? It's why mangos will never be fully accepted by the upper crust.  ;) Ergo the fancy peeling machines, where you stick the fruit in one end, and get little cubed pieces coming out the other end...ready to pierce with your pearl handled little fork. 8)

To see where the halves should be cut from filet style, look down at the top of the mango and see the mark left from the stem. See/examine closely the way in which it is off-center. You will be able to figure out the rest.

Some fruit just need to have some pampering done before serving, lots of fancy restaurants serve mango,  just not with their skin on plain on a plate.   same goes for pineapple, and some other fruit.  that's why we go to a restaurant in the first place, so we do not need to prepare the food, we are paying them to remove the skin for us, and to remove the fish from the caviar etc.  :D ;D
