manzano bananas

I just tasted manzano bananas  from Guatemala. I have never had a better tasting banana in my whole life. Now I want to grow it. I wonder if there are any comparable banana varieties available.

while Manzano is very tasty, IMO there are even better ones. My favourites so far: Dwarf Namwah and Pisang Mas/Glui Kai. I still have to get to try a few more...

Manzano is an excellent nana.  You could also search out a FHIA 18 which is very similar in taste/quality but a little better disease resistant.

If you are looking for an really good banana, you can't go wrong with the ice cream banana...it is one of the best and grows well here in SFla.

I am growing a bunch of manzano banana plants. You are more than welcome to come get a sucker the next time you are down around the Cutler Bay area...
