For those of you that live in Miami-Dade, the county is holding their first Adopt-a-Tree event of the year today.
Here is the info:
Saturday, September 15th, J.C. Bermudez Park, 3100 NW 87th Avenue, City of Doral
Doors open at 9 a.m. for both events. Trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis - while supplies last.
Miami-Dade single-family or duplex homeowners are eligible to receive 2 FREE trees per year, even if they have adopted trees in past years.
The best part is that they will be giving out jaboticabas this time, as well as other fruit and ornamental trees, including mulberry and longan. Here is the website:
http://www.miamidade.gov/development/trees/adopt-a-tree.asp#0I'll be there to get my replacement jabo and mulberry both of which died this year.
