The girls are headed down Saturday for visiting family and would like to pre order a box for their kin and another for us.

What is the best way to order. They would pick up Saturday morning on way down.

Likely wouldn’t have enough for a box at the moment. Maybe just Contact us directly on Saturday to see what we have.

Does Carabao usually produce this early? Is it a different variety within the Philippines mango? I saw a Philippine tag today that said June-July. Having the Rosigold (at least 2 weeks till ripe) and looking to add another super early.

It’s the same as “Philippine”. I’d say it usually starts in May. One tree had a significant March/April crop though.

Rosa is a more consistent spring mango. Edward and Dwarf Hawaiian also.

Thanks for the mango.  They got to share with kin from Washington state and their local kin that only have had store bought prior.  Had them looking up Edward and Tropical Acres as they are new mango lovers.

The girls were proud of the mango and the younger generation is now a convert.

The Duncan I got was pretty good and we will be back when others  types ripen.

Thanks again

Here they are... Fresh off the tree today and all of 1 1/2 inch or less... Late, small, & on the ground with the storm today adding to the qty.... But of course a lot of small ones are still in the tree above... Mine are very late this year.

Who else has some mature ones in S. Florida other than Squam?

I had high hopes for my Pickering this year.  First year flowering, (year three in ground from 3 gal pot), about 6' x 6'.  In January it sent up pannicles on every branch.  She was loaded for a while. . .and then she started dropping fruit and hasn't stopped.   :(
Still some fruit left and I assume several will remain, but man, what a tease.
My Cogshall had about a 50% bloom this year, starting in late January.  Most fruits are holding on.

I think this is normal behavior for Pickering. Mine is 4 years old and about the same size as yours and set lots of fruit only to drop a lot of it. I’ll end up with 20 to 30 fruits I expect. Not bad for a tree this size. I think it’s just dropping the fruit to the point where it can sustain itself without damage. It did this last year also.

My Glenn had a couple of premature colored drops and the aroma was spectacular and tasted excellent. I can"t wait for them to all ripen

Nice score Alex!  Amazing you have Venus so early!  They're usually later right?  From what I recall last year, it was coming around early - mid August.

A little Glenn dropped yesterday, almost ripe. Had good flavor in terms of mango and peach with a tad sour, but was a little light on the sweetness. Texture was wonderful, zero fiber. Best mango I've had this year, and it wasn't even ready.

I guess their primary season is July/August but I usually get some spring ones.

Finally a tree ripened Florigon mango on my tree. I previously ate a few drops that were faulty. This particular mango is very very small but it was good tasting (I started to zoom in like a fish tale... but went with the ruler  ;D ). The typical citrus/mango taste of this Florigon and it was sweet. This is a thin skinned mango & I ate the skin also as I think doing so gives it more citrus zest.

Sorry I could not post earlier Alex but nothing but faulty drops previously at my residence; a few weeks later than last year at my residence.

Anyone else in S. Florida with ripe mangos, I would love to see your 2018 mango pictures posted....

Nice looking fruit . I should check our Florigon tree to see if anything is close.

Got the first Pim Sen Mun and Torbert of the season today.

Unfortunately, our Cotton Candy and Phoenix were both in the back yard (north side of house) which got hit hard by the freak freeze this winter. Lost all the mango blooms on the newest varieties and damaged them quite a bit. Pim Seng Mun was the only thing that held any fruit. I was hoping to taste a bunch of new varieties, too.

My first small Glen and only my 2nd tree ripened mango of the year... I'm about 3 weeks later than last year's crop... Also existing trees seem to have a few less with some refusing to bear this year; but I have a few new trees bearing & so it looks like it will equal out (unless the storms blow too many from the trees) (time to try eating green mangos chopped up etc. from the ones on the ground lol )...

Finally got first 2018 mango. It is a Carrie and it dropped off.....was not picked.  Nothing else seems ripe or near ripe on this tree but it always surprises me with dropped fruits I do not see/find to pick first.
