Looks like they have a facebook page.  And they sell on ebay.  It looks legit, I was just hoping someone had some experience with them.  Based on their add on ebay the guy seems to take pride in his nursery and try to do things the right way.  They have some nice looking lychee trees on ebay, shipping is expensive but thats expected.

I deliver them fruit trees often. They have a giant property in Venus and it's a family run nursery. Legitimate

I've drove past there numerous times and haven't seen a roadside ad for that place.

So I ordered a 7gal lychee from barretts.  Was pleasantly surprised with the tree I received.

I called and placed the order and we bypassed ebay and the price was quite a bit cheaper.

Looks like a really nice tree.  Just curious, what did it cost to ship that baby to CA?

Its was around 60$ for shipping.  Total was around 150$ I believe.  Not cheap but Im pretty happy with the tree.  Ive bought a lot of trees from FL and usually you are paying 75 to 125$ for a 3gallon sick looking tree by the time you pay shipping.

To be on the safe side I would look over that tree very closely for lychee mites. They are having an outbreak in Florida now. You wouldn't want to bring that bug here to California. Better safe then sorry.

I saw the thread on the mites.  Part of the reason I am getting lychee trees now before they become unavailable.  I have learned from buying trees even in san diego county they need to be closely inspected for bugs before moving to the grove.  This tree doesnt appear to have any bugs or diseases.  It came with ag inspection papers from FL and is sitting in quarantine here being aclimated to the dry heat for the next 2 weeks before going to the grove.

Good thinking and nice looking plant.  What variety is it?  It sounds like you are building a very impressive collection of fruit trees.

This one is a sweetheart.  Yes the collection is rapidly expanding, been a busy guy here lately.  Its going to be time to slow it way down soon.
