Nishikawa Avocado in Florida
« on: March 21, 2019, 09:52:45 PM »
Who has had good luck with Nishikawa?  Is it a good avocado to grow in Florida?  I see that Excalibur is propagating it.  When does it ripen?

We’re growing it. I think it came up in another thread talking about Hawaiian cvs. It’s quite good.

When does it ripen?

Ours seem to mature in October.

I’m growing it.  Fruit set and production has been 5x my brogdon tree.  Really great tree that does extremely well in Marco Island (SW Fl, sandy soil).  This pic is from yesterday - 3/23
