Is it worth growing a Marcus Pumpkin avocado?
« on: March 25, 2019, 06:03:27 PM »
Hello, I currently have a Reed, which is type A. Do I need a type B avocado to set fruits? Should I plan a Marcus Pumpkin avocado, type B? Thank you

I can't judge for California but mine were huge in Florida on a 15H x 10W tree. I sold most of them and got a good price because of the variety & unique size. Maybe 60 lbs were on the tree. This is one small box of the harvest.

I’ve never been impressed by Marcus Pumpkin’s flavor. Very mild to say the least.

Apart from the impressive size, the taste was nothing to talk about.

Never had a problem or paid much attention to having Type A/B. But I live in an area with lots of Avocado trees.
