Whoo hoo! Good tools make for a happy tree hoarder :-). They will last forever. The only thing that eventually gave out after over a decade of use on mine was the rubber bumper, but they sell the parts separately.
Just received my loppers that Jeff (cookie monster) recommended,holy cow!!!!! They are phenomenal,I just tried them out and I am scared there will be nothing left of my trees!! Hahaha,super light weight and just cut thru anything without the slightest problem. Thanks for posting the recommendation Jeff!
