Baccaurea / Malesian Euphorbiaceae
« on: February 23, 2013, 01:10:48 PM »
While doing a search on one of the less common Baccaurea species, I came across this page.  I searched this site before & never found this -- I wonder what else is hidden there but not easy to find ...

Nice site, too bad it doesn't have any fruit photos. As you get into this hobby more it becomes very clear there are thousands of fruits that are hidden but not easy to find.

Awesome find.  I am suspicious that a mysterious delicious fruit I have is a Baccaurea.  Maybe I can find it in this list.

Did Baccaurea courtallensis find any place in that site?
Most of Baccurea species are available in Indonesia,Malaysia & Thailand.
One or two species are found in Bangladesh,India,Myanmer(Burma) ,Nepal and Srilanka

Too bad, Derek.  The fruit sounded / looked interesting.  Did you offer any of your "mystery fruit" for sale earlier?  It would be good to know some got distributed elsewhere (increases the odds of solving the mystery).

I never sold any, but included a few seeds for free with several orders to folks who seemed the sort to enjoy a mystery.
