Hi everyone , I live in SW Florida Sarasota area and looking for some expert help . I bought this Avocado tree 3 years ago from Home Depot or Lowes and forget the type it is .
This year it has produced some fruit , it flowered i believe in March and i am thrilled !!!!
I looked online to try and figure out what type the tree is with not muck luck since there are SO MANY .

When the fruit ripens take a ripe one and a branch with leaves to Fruitscapes nursery on Pine Island and ask one of the owners. They have been able to identify many varieties for me based on those and the season of ripeness.

I agree with PI of course, but....
If it turns purple. Harder maybe?

Thank you both for replying ! I will take one once it ripens . Few of them fell off the tree already so not sure if thats normal or how to really tell when they are ripe . Any tips would be great , I am just excited to taste these green gems :-) Again thank you for replying and info .

Probably Doni/Donnie or Simmonds. I have seen both at big box and look like that. Either way it is an early West Indian type.
