Hello Everyone,
I wanted to know if anyone has any Rollinia in Southern California? Would love to buy some. Does it even grow here? Thank you!

Yes they grow fine...ripe fruit is a different story. I have 1 fruit on my 6'x6' tree that's about golfball size and we shall see if it makes it through the Winter. I think it should but its up in the air. I have some seedlings from Hawaii that are 3 ft. tall (in less than a year-with branching) and growing like weeds no matter the time of year. In your area it seems perfectly doable. Go for it. Chris

Rollinia do not like wind , dry soil or cold wet soil. There's been precious fruit holding as far north as Santa Barbara which seems like an anomaly . Lots of variation so keep trying . If your temps ever drop below 40 it's going to add to the degree of difficulty.

Theygrow like weed so as long as there are no Santa Ana's around. Constant die back fruits set and drop. These are doable in SoCal coast climates but why go thruall the hassle for an inferior anona? I've had rollinias in different parts of the tropic and Florida and I haven't had one that's worth growing. I have a tree for our cross pollination projects otherwise it's not worth any space in your backyard
