Is this a Spanish/Hog Plum Red, Ciruela, Jocote Rojo, Mombin Tree?

Can someone please help me to identify this tree? My neighbor owns this tree... she said something in Spanish about what this tree was... but I wasn't able to remember the name. When the fruit ripens... it produces a fruit punch smell to it.

I think that looks like what we call jocote. Spondias purperea
