Anyone growing the Smith Red Valencia?

What do you think of it?

Also, does anyone know of a source for the Smith in Florida?

I've got it with the first fruit this year in a 7 gallon pot. It's now
called smith red blood.

Been thinking about this variety as well, my local citrus nursery sells it under the name Red Valencia. At least I am 90% sure it's this variety, there is another variety called Rhode Red Valencia but that is not really a blood, the one they offer is definitely a blood.

I am interested in finding out how different it is from Moro and Tarocco Bloods as I have mature trees of those two.

I've got a small one that's only been in the ground for a year and a half, but it's growing like a weed.  Very fast growing compared to my other varieties.

i dont really love the Smith Red Flavor. reliable annual yield but pretty darn tart. its quite likely my location does not get the heat to sweeten properly however.

Smith Red appears to root fairly easily from cuttings.

Citrus start to produce higher quality fruit around 5 years of age.  Every year after that the fruit's quality should continue to improve.
