In 2005 I sowed a seed of annona muricata . Seedling flowered for the first time in the age of five.
Since then it flowered several times each year, but because of long period between flowering of single flowers, it was impossible to pollinate it.
Finally this winter, flowers opened shortly one by one. So I pollinated with one day old pollen.
On 3.24. it was clear that one is pollinated < the right one from this pair>.

I used the pollen from the flower on the leff side of this picture.
On 4.12. I recognized strange thing. The flower from which I took the pollen, started to separate too <on the right side of this picture>.

So now I have two fruits.

That's awesome! Congrats!

Congratulations! Looking good. Don't think many have succeeded at fruiting guanabana indoors.
You can pollinate guanabana with a single flower.

Great job!
-
Is that just next to a window or do you have a grow light?
-
Nice Job, I didn't think it was possible.
-
That's pretty nutty. You must be taking really good car of it.
-
I am amazed!

Today I tasted my very first indoor grown soursop fruit.
It was very pleasant surprise. Very strong sweet taste resembles a bit overripe Pineapple.
Very soft pulp. Seeds small, relatively low number.

This encourages me not to give up trying to fruit Soursop in SoCal...
Thanks Radoslav!
-
Congratulations my friend! Your achivement is amazing! ;D
-
Awsome achievement, this keeps my hope of fruiting my soursop seedling indoors.
-
Radoslav, would you know the humidity level of room where the plant is? And where did you get the original seed from?
-
That is awesome, but I bet picking up leaves off the living room floor got old somewhere in the last 14 years. My soursop sheds leaves like crazy. Although, it could have made a lot of tea.

This year showed me, how tricky the right time to harvest is. Right now, I collected my one and only fruit from my annona in living room and this time I collected it while still partly hard on touch.
And it was a mistake, pulp is not as tender as ussual, slightly sour and the taste is full of that bleach chlorine odour typical for muricata flowers.
But it looks like taste is improving while I let the harvested fruit rest in room for 24 hours.
