First properly ripened Taralay consumed today and it was divine. Sturrock held its own also. Had my one and only ValCarrie and it was top notch, great strong flava yet not overwhelming.
Ivory I picked up from Squam.
My point was that I planted Neelam because it was one of Richard Campbell's Curator Choices, as was Angie. I've long since chopped it down, and have considered getting rid of Angie as well. What has saved Angie is that it's a reliable producer of beautiful fruit, it's fairly early, and it's easily managed. But the flavor leaves a lot to be desired.
Also what kind of fruit trees would be better along the north as wind break. ie black sapote , inga, santol ect..
Hopefully the new hybrids will taste good. It would be cool if the new varieties could impart disease resistance onto the grafted scions. I hope the Zills will incorporate these new varieties into their breeding program.

Did she suggest the possibility of a cold hardy Mango... maybe a Mango for Canada?

As much as I love a good fresh peach, just dont feel like dealing with those little bastards.I never tried growing them yet so I figured I'll give it a shot.
really Rob?
Fruit is available but please share where the trees have ever been mase availableor sold. I suppose you could pay top dollar to get one from TT but all you would wind up with is a Lemon Zest.
I think Behl did not read the post about the broken "OS" tree and just read the title. Lol.
