Do you have to cold stratify seeds before they'll sprout ? I never have luck with that
unless someone like you
Cares a whole awful lot

I've grown them in the past without cold stratifying them and got good germination.

Any ideas if these would grow and do well in Belize zone 14?

I believe that is part of it's native range.

Where did your Tree's come from originally? Just curious if you got them from Mexican local or Southern Cali.

If Belize is part of their native range then i definitely would want to get some seeds if possible.

I can’t remember where my seeds originally came from , a local tree I believe.
I’m not sure where the “ Emerich #1” selection came from either.
Bad grower’s notes.

Harvested all the Capulin’s yesterday. I have about 100 seeds available still.
Until next harvest season...

If you’re looking for a sweet cherry this is NOT for you. Bush2beach was a pleasure to buy from though, he sent me fresh fruit and was very quick to respond to my questions. I would DEFINITELY buy from him again, just not capulan cherries...always happy to get to try new fruit though!

Haha, totally understandable. I did send mostly under ripe red fruit versus totally ripe black fruit, just to send fruits with the seed. Have a good one.
