Wow, I don't know where Brooksville is but in Orlando we only have a low of 40 degrees on Tuesday. I might bring my mango in and possibly cover my bananas just to be on the safe side.

That is very cold for Brooksville.  This may be the coldest November in the last century.   The relentless cold may ease up though the last week of November.

Not in Flo-rida, but 26 for me on Monday.  As cold as all of last year and just getting started.  I'm probably a day or two ahead of what Florida gets.  Buckle down looks like a bumpy ride.

Wow you guys have different weather stations. Just saw the weather this morning and it said Tampa was only under an advisory, not a full scale warning like Northern parts of the state. I4 and down isn't even under advisory from what I saw, I guess the weather doesn't cross interstates.... We are going down to 39 in theory on Tuesday morning and low fifties on Wed. Just in case of a surprise freeze I am going to cover my banana and Key lime and wheel my container trees into the garage but I am not expecting it to be bad enough to require these measures.

This early winter is WEIRD.  All over the U.S., folks are getting hammered. Gonna be some backed up flights over the holidays, glad I'm staying put.

Check out the Climate Prediction Center's winter forecast.  I'm much colder and wetter than normal and Florida is gonna be cold.  Here's hoping SoCal picks up some much needed rain.  http://www.cpc.noaa.gov/products/predictions/long_range/seasonal.php?lead=2

Was 25F for much of the morning for us which is early.  Low 20's tonight.  Newly planted Arctic Frost satsuma, unprotected, looks like crap with a lot of new growth not yet hardened off.  :(

Mark it does look promising for at least the bottom half of California - MORE RAIN
and ABOVE NORMAL TEMPS....meaning no losing trees to cold!

Yeah!!!

And I'm putting a new roof on  in the next couple weeks.....BRING IT ON!!!!

Gary, too bad you're so darn warm but like they say in Texas, "if you don't know what the weather is gonna do, just wait a minute."

Aint that the truth. Was in San Antonio for training(2001) and I got up before dawn and my vehicle locks were frozen shut. Got out for lunch and there was a massive wind thunder, and rain storm and still pretty damn cold. Got out of class at around 3ish and bright sunny 75 degrees, threw on shorts and flip flops and went and washed my car.

Clay, NOT going to protect anything  :)...I just checked a few minutes ago, and NO warnings or watches for me...I live a few hours south of the ones that have the "hard freeze warnings", thank goodness!! I will bring in a few of my potted tropical plants (not fruit trees) but the rest should be fine...

Good luck to everyone but I just have to think that at least in Florida we are due for a cold one like in 2010-11 where I had to scrape ice off my windshield at 7AM  _(South Florida)  I am leaving some Dancy tangerines on my tree hoping they will sweeten w the cold////////  I have some recently planted items I will have to protect...avocado...sapodilla

Hate it when the going into work at 5AM we are already at the high for the day (68F), rainy all day and 49F when I got out at 3PM. Only 3-4 degrees to go till my forecast low for Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.
