I purchased 4 mangos--an Edward, a Mulgoba, a Cushman, and a Dot. It cost me $12 ($3 per lb.). Yikes! (Please don't tell my wife. She'd kill me. A neighbor gives us shopping bags full--but not of the above varieties.) The Mulgoba and the Cushman had soft spots when I cut them open--either internal breakdown or they were damaged during picking and left in the sun too long--so it was a little hard to determine their true flavor. Major disappointment. The Pickerings I'm getting from my little tree are way better. I'm convinced more than ever of the need to grow your own fruit.
