Actually, the variety name is 'Zill Dark'.Someone at the nursery doing the tag printing switched to "Black Surinam Cherry", even though this variety is very obviously not one of those which actually have black color. It is really very dark purple or blackish-red.It was selected by Dorothy Zill, who suggested that I save it, when she saw that I was digging up other Surinam-cherries to save when the old nursery was sold to developers. I named it 'Zill Dark.'
