Calcium Helpful
« on: July 21, 2017, 11:09:31 AM »
I attended a talk last night about sapodilla trees and the lecturer recommended calcium for slow growing saps. I wonder if this might be true for other tropical fruits , my Grumichama is very slow growing and not fruiting after 4 years in the ground. A ready source for calcium is sheet rock.

I add eggshells to the base of my trees. I also add coffee grounds and tea grounds and banana peels.
Not sure how fast it works but I have been doing it for years. The eggshells break down fairly fast especially
if you go back and crush them in your hand after a few weeks of drying out.
