My loquat
« on: August 16, 2018, 10:17:06 PM »
This is my loquat.  Variety juicy Jim.  2nd year in ground.  I have heard people say that you cannot plant loquat trees in full sun.  That isn't true.  This tree has taken the AZ 113 degree sun without as much as a leaf tip burn.
I got really good advice on Loquat trees.  Plant them in early fallow roots to develop.  First summer it may struggle.  2 and summer it will be perfect.  So far this summer it has been perfect.  For the fragrance alone, I hope it blooms this summer!!!
Considering planting a second tree for better fruit production.   Any recommendations on another good variety?

Mine blooms in late fall... just in time to freeze before it sets fruit.
