Hey all,
I'm looking for 50-100 green sapote seeds, preferably from a top named variety, shipped to New Zealand.
Please message me if you can help and make a good sale!
Thanks
Nick

you try Lucuma it probably perform much better in NZ?

I would suggest growing lucuma and grafting green onto it. That's what I'm doing and I have around 50 lucuma seedlings waiting for grafting.

Anyone has Lucuma seeds for trade?

Do you have these grafted already? If so, for how long? I haven't heard of this combo before. It would be great if it was stable. Thanks.

We have Lucuma here, quite a lot of kinds. Still not easy to get your hands on, but they're also quite different to green sapote. The grafting combination sounds great, but we can't receive plant material except seeds in New Zealand. So I have to start a bunch of seedlings first anyway.
So still seeking 50-100 seeds. Anyone?

I am also looking for green sapote for awhile, but difficult to find even for a few seeds.

I have 2 grafts, one has failed and one seems to have taken, but time will tell if its stable.

Does anyone know where to source these seeds? Still looking. Wanting 100-200 now and willing to pay what they're worth. Thanks.

Would have to reach out to a private collector in Hawaii. Only sources for sizable amount of seeds.
-
Yeah for sure, I've heard the same. Most haven't wanted to sell seeds unfortunately. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

not a common fruit in hawaii, do not see at market or stores

Tropical fruit world always has heaps of green sapotes when in season. I usually pay around $4-5 per fruit when I go there. Usually around 3 seeds in each fruit
-
Wish that happened in new Zealand. We don't have any commercial growers. I only know one person in the whole country that has a couple of small seedlings lol. We can't have fruit shipped to us either.

Maybe in spanish speaking groups on Facebook are few people who grows green sapote.
