Yes.

In some varieties, before the bud becomes visible, the new leaves show some red on them.
Applying laws and rules equally to all is a cornerstone of a civilized society.

It will grow pretty quick from here, but I've always had problems with the support stalk sagging under the weight of the fruit. I'm going to try and keep them more hydrated this year.

Will I only get this one fruit and the plant dies after I harvest it? If so, how do I propagate the next generation of this pineapple cultivar? I think it's a white flesh variety.

Harry, the soil mix is roughly 50% small bark, 25% coco coir, and 25% perlite.

Will I only get this one fruit and the plant dies after I harvest it?

there are several propagation possibilities:
a) the leafy crown of the fruit can be planted.
b) there may be offsets on the stem below the fruit.
c) there may be offsets around the leafy crown.
d) the parent plant may send up one or more slips or suckers.
e) possibly all of the above.

the sugarloaf is a low acid high sugar variety.  it is so soft that it has issues with shipping, and is seldom seen in markets outside pineapple growing areas.  sweet and juicy - delicious!

Hi Luis! Still planting everything I can. You and I have come a long way.

NewGen, once you get propagating, it will snowball. Good luck.
