Im interested when vine is ready to share
I'm sorry for the loss.
Do you know of anyone who has living cuttings or survivors?
Hoang, so sorry to hear your vine died. I remember you saying it was your best tasting.
I really wanted to grow your selection and kept the plants at home so I could keep a close eye on them, but I think it wasn't warm enough for them here. I appreciate you sharing the genetics and really like the fruits on your Decaisneana. The Quadrangularis I planted at the farm is still young, I hope it makes it.
We started construction on my greenhouse today, so I will try the plants in the greenhouse to make the cross. Thanks for the advice.
Janet
Kaz,
I tried growing this a couple different times. They all ended up dying including the cuttings I grafted. The Decaisneana from Hoang was much easier to grow. I have a Quadrangularis and Decaisneana growing right next to each other at the farm to cross pollinate each other and will plant out seeds to try and recreate his hybrid PQML.

I do have a greenhouse and I know it's not optimal time, but I'd like to get one going so that by next spring I have a headstart. Can you send me a PM?
Thanks
Just saw some of these posted on the bay area tropical fruit growers page. What is the difference between quadrangularis and this quad ML? And do you have any more cuttings available?
My cuttings arrived yesterday excellently packaged. Super impressed at how fresh they were. Thanks for the extras as well! Can't wait for these to take root!I cut, pack, and ship the cuttings in the same day. Good luck with those cuttings.
Thanks again,
Peter
Of the 3 which would you recommend? I am interesteed in the PQML
also for rooting do you water root them or stick in soil
I ordered cuttings from Hoang this past spring. All the decaisneana rooted easily. When the quadrangularis ML cuttings didn’t make it due prolonged cooler weather and taking them off heat mats prematurely, Hoang was generous and sent me replacement cuttings. Thank you so much Hoang, the PQML rooted and is now growing.

Just thought I would share my experience with the P. Decaisneana cuttings from Phi last December.. They spent the winter rooting up. Put them out in the spring in a 6 gallon pot. They started flowering about a month ago now they look like this.
Is p. decaisneana supposed to be self fertile? I have pollinated 6-8 flowers so far and none have set fruit.
It's worth getting the cuttings as they root easily... and grow fast too.
Good Seller!
Kevin
Do you have any seeds of passiflora decaisneana that you would be willing to sell?
I am growing PQ from Hoang and it grew well for me. Harvest a few dozens fruits last year while the vine was relatively small. The fruits are really tasty and I like eating the rind as well. Compared to regular passion fruits, it's a big plus since the entire fruit is edible.
Pm sent
PM or email me a price for 10 Passiflora quadrangularis scions including shipping and I will send payment.
Thanks.
