Isn't this just Eugenia candolleana which is being offered in a somewhat larger seedling on a couple other sites online priced for one-half to one-third the current eBay bid amount for this tiny seedling?  E. candolleana also is known as murta or murtinha.

Just curious cuz in FRUTAS NO BRASIL (Lorenzi; 2015) page 396 (or pg. 490) have a look at the two taxa shown there and see what you think.  Both these two mentioned species Eugenias look very similar.

leaves, fruits and the calyx are all different and way different compared to candolleana !

I have seen candolleana variations and have seen the red Murta in habitat and I believe these have nothing in common ! maybe their popular name though !

These seeds were $75 or more per seed. Man is recouping some seed money from his succesfull germination.

Definitely not candolleana

Can anyone hazzard a guess as to what species this might actually be?

Knowing that would be helpful for doing any further reaearch.

Cheers!
