Yellow Dragon Fruit variety.

The yellow one is very slow growing!!!! (compare to my Purple Haze and Natural Mystic).

That is normal for Megalanthus.

Here is the vine of the "Yellow Dragon" I have. So what I have is Selenicereus Megalanthus/yellow Hylocereus megalanthus?

Looks like Megalanthus to me.  Does not look like yellow Undatus.

Thanks! Undatus is not as sweet as Megalanthus. So what I'm growing is what I'm wanted after all. Hopefully I will get some fruit next year to confirm. The yellow one is very slow growing!!!! (compare to my Purple Haze and Natural Mystic).

 Carol Wallace: It was name after a beautiful place red soil with rolling hills in Australia & Isis is name after God

And there is one currently from Australia hybrid called ISIS GOLD which is a hott item since it has been reported to have a taste like lemonade

Not sure but they are in Australia, maybe ask why they chose that name and let us know

Brought some seeds back and grown for four years from seeds.  All my fruits from the yellow dragon fruit seedlings are red inside and outside, not yellow outside and white inside . .lol. it is reversed to the parents.  But the fruits are more sweeter than the one I got in Hawaii.

Isis is a girl's name. My granddaughter has a school friend named Isis.

I bought this yellow dragon fruit in Big Island, Hawaii. I have never seen a yellow Undatus with red-flesh. I wish you would post a picture.

That is always a plus to taste better on any variety and then they are a new variety,

Thanks Brad, I don't think I ever seen that kind of Yellow Megalanthus in South Florida. I have been to the Rare Fruit council tree sales and the one I keep seeing is the "Yellow Dragon" that I have.

A friend of mine bought a "Yellow Dragon Fruit" cutting on eBay. After several months growing he decided that it was NOT what he thought he purchased. He gave it to me to grow. The fruit turned out to be red on the outside and red on the inside,.

If I did not grow from the seeds that I saved from the yellow dragon fruit.  I think that the offsprings reversed to their original parents.  All my seedlings had fruits which are red both inside and outside.
