Nope, the squirrels love my Lemon Zest.
Quote from: bsbullie on July 05, 2015, 09:55:22 AMNope, the squirrels love my Lemon Zest.Maybe because it is really an Orange Sherbet? Just a guess.
I've noticed something similar. Them rats would quicker find and damage a Julie or NDM that is semi ripe up in the tree than eat a tree ripened Maha that's been on the ground 2 days in a row. Maybe they're tastes are more sophisticated we think .
I sure hope that was your attempt at a joke. If not, all should know that there is a very distinct difference between Lemon Zest and Orange Sherbert, in term of the tree's leaves, fruit shspe, fruit size, fruit color, flesh color, flesh texture and fruit taste.

The squirrels seem to enjoy mangoes that aren't very sour when unripe. They decimated my golden queen crop, which happens to be sugar sweet when green. They also seemed to enjoy Edgar. Not much damage on the LZ.The favored mango of rodent and bird alike tends to be the carrie in my yard.
Rodents prefer "crispy", not mushy or sticky.
