Graft Compatibility (Kuini aka Mangifera odorata with other mangoes)

Hi I have some Kuini saplings and I intend to use them as rootstock. Is this variety compatible with all other mango varieties like irwin, ataulfo etc?

Yes.  I grafted Lemon Zest on Kuini.

I am about to graft a sweet tart scion to my 2 years old kuini seedling. How is the result on yours? Does it take like a regular mangoe rootstock? Is it better to do the grafting when my kuini seedling is still in the pot or after i planted it in the ground? Thank you!

I have also heard that they are compatible.  I grafted a Cac scion onto kuini last year and it seems to be doing ok.  The vigor surprisingly seems to be less than another Cac I grafted on to an indica seedling but with a sample size of one of each, I wouldn't stake my life on there being any significant difference.  In each case these are well established plants --the "seedling" ~6' and the kuini ~15'.

I have both casturi and kuini grafted onto peach cobbler, both are doing fine

Thanks for all your replies! I will wait until my kuini pushes some new growth. It grows relatively slow compared to my other tropical fruit plants (sapodilla, guava, cherimoya), but of course i have been neglecting it.
Did you guys topwork the kuini rootstock with the scion, or you graft onto its branch? I am planning to still try to get some fruit from the kuini rootstock. The seedling looks like a trident now, with one branch on each side of its main trunk.
Is it better to do the graft onto the main trunk or on either of the branch?

The Kuini seedling I have seems to be quite vigorous, with nodes spread far apart. How vigorously does kuini grafted onto mango grow?
