Selling seeds of Eugenia Calycina from my tree that is grown from famous Miguels Nelita

very easy to grow even in pots, fast grower and precocious fruting within 3-4 years, can handle frost up to -5C maybe more.

very nice juicy cherry like taste! self-fertile with lot of fruits every season and it could have two crops per year..

I have about +40 seeds

seeds is 3€/psc

postage 5€ worldwide with tracking (due to covid situation I can ship only to countries, where the post is accpeting letters), if send outside of EU, the customs problems are on the buyers risk

can give you discount when you order more then 10 seeds

i have also 2 small seedlings for sale for 15€ each, shipping mainly to EU

It's been 73 days and I still haven't received my parcel. I don't believe it will arrive, and it is most likely lost or destroyed. This is the first time in my mailing practice, and now I regret that I rushed to close the dispute for paypal and lost my money.

have you written to Richard? i believe he will be able to repost the seeds or give you discount. or at least can get info of that package once you wrote you have got the tracking number. Just keep some patience and try to solve it with the otherside before making early conclusions..
i got the package from him in +3 weeks, before it used to be 1-2 weeks..and i waited almost month before it was just shipped due to corona situation..

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Plinia clausa (Anihuayo)

Raul do you think it is subspecies or different species?
does anyone know if the seller dealer - amazon garden fruits is honest?
I'll like to think it is a different subspecies as you said as the shape of the fruit and the interior looks totally different also the people who bought from seeds hunter I think were told the tree is Dioecious while a friend of mine an Agro Engineer from Perú told me that the variety with translucent flesh they only one here knows has perfect flower....
I think the seller is legit talking about Seeds hunter as several from here had bought Anihuayo from him

Yes the the fruits are indeed different enough to think it is subspecies, also the fruits from the document is somehow ribbed/costade on the surface.. i also thought about ripness, if the trasnculant flesh couldnt be just cause of overripe or very ripe ripe fruit. unfortunately very little info info..

I know Seeds hunter, however not sure where he sourced these seeds, and if there is any source for these seeds, as there is a lot of ppl around the world showing germinating the seeds.. so wondering if all have the same genetics comming from seeds hunter shop.

look at this one
https://www.yumpu.com/es/document/read/13322394/contribuciones-al-conocimiento-de-frutales-nativos-amazonicos/11
check this pics and see how different looks the pulp from the ones on a Hand from the others look almost like a different fruit, ones with pulp kind of Guava type and the others with juicy translucent flesh like Jabos do, think the one have been distributed now by one seller are the ones with dense opaque flesh like the ones on the hand, wonder were to get the other ones

Raul do you think it is subspecies or different species?
does anyone know if the seller dealer - amazon garden fruits is honest?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Marula (Sclerocarya birrea)
« on: May 18, 2019, 06:30:24 AM »
The average weight of Marula fruit is around 19.6g and mine is 24g, not too bad I guess

In my case, Yes it doesn't need cross pollination but having a single tree might hurt the yield. I have seen only female flowers on my tree and It produced about 5 ripe fruits and a few unripe fruits that got knocked out by a strong wind/Shamal.

what was the taste?

Two fruits on the Passe Crassane

Yes, this is in zone 10, and we had an unusually mild Winter this year on the West Coast, and this is only the third year. So I'm thinking chill hours are not going to be too much of an issue with this variety.

whst was the taste like?
