Could someone comment on the fruit of Shangri-la.
I rooted them from cuttings last summer so have no idea of the fruiting qualities.
My Pakistani are delicious and I have rooted cuttings from this tree to plant out.
Any preferences?
Thanks.
Kevin
I think I have a Shangri La Mulberry but the common names confuse me.
I have 11 types of mulberries and it has the largest leaves of any of them.
Recently I had 5 mulberries ripe in my yard and I let a couple people sample
all 5. I had the shatoot white, Pakistan Black, Thai everbearing, the mystery
which I got from a guy who called it an Emperor Mulberry he bought in Homestead, Fl
and the large leaved one I call Shangri La.
Both people said the Shangri La was their favorite.
It is a big tree. I have seen them 30' x 30'.
It is a very consistent producer also with.
Juicy staining large fruit! I even saw a woodpecker eating my fruit
