Those flowers look like oxalis to me. Pink wood sorrel. Pull it out.

Will do panicles are getting bigger and bigger I'm so glad that flowers didn't already bloomed. We have been getting alot of Santa Ana winds lately. If it did probably would have been bye bye fruits
Gummosis I guess. The tree is not in great health but it can grow out of that over summer if you plant it and give it good care. Ive had new trees have this and grow out of it.
According to that article, lychee buds form 4-6 weeks after pruning.
Here in Southern California our coldest month is February.
We should prune our lychee on New Year Day.
New buds would form in mid February.
The cold trigger the buds into flower buds.
We should try this next year.
