Identifying my sisters Avacado variety. Help please
« on: August 04, 2019, 08:19:14 PM »
My sister bought her home with this mature avacado tree. I want help identifying the variety so we know when its time to harvest. The tree is in Miami. Please see the attached pictures. Does anyone know what type of avacado this is?? The pictures were taken on August 3rd, 2019. At the time of the pictures the fruit was still hard.

They look like they could be Lula, which start to ripen in October and can have a long season into January.  A nice size tree, which would also indicate Lula.  A tasty avocado.  Better than the summer avocados which are ripening now.  So try them in late October, and leave most on the tree for further usage and flavor development.

I'm surprised no one else has commented.  Alex, where are you?
