Just picked a Jak

Check out this bad boy....a 24 pound J-31 Jakfruit that I picked today. It's the smallest of the three that were left on my tree


These are probably close to 30lbs each.  I normally try to keep this this tree at around 15 ft. tall and will soon be trimming it to no more than 12 feet high. They produce great fruits even when kept small.  J-31 is a very tasty Jak and my favorite.

One of the best flavor descriptions I have heard is a very sweet combination of Banana, Pineapple and Juicy Fruit gum...! I agree with this.

I agree. J-31 is my favorite too. I am watching my last jackfruit of the summer coming down the homestretch growth-wise. Probably will harvest it second week of August. Should be about 25-30 lbs.
by then. I love it fresh frozen....yum like a Frozen JackFruit Pop without the stick
