Its too bad that Reed's mama, Nabal is not offered . Nabal was the one that all the old growers keep in there door yard .While it was not real productive, but was the one  they wanted to eat.

I followed the suggestion of allowing 15 ' between trees. My oldest trees are 3 years old & already to beginning to touch. At this rate it seems that there will be heavy over lap which will make getting around them difficult unless I cut back. I have topped the trees  to keep 10 ' or less in height. Has any one else had to cut back lateral branches to separate the trees? If so did this seem to have adverse effects on the growth or condition of trees health or production? I would rather not cut back but need to have access . Any thoughts?

Upon landing on some So. Pac island my son related how all the locals ran over to where kusiae limes were being sold. He did get some & was most emphatic that I grow this lime. I had searched for some time & finally found a reference that all the plants had a serious virus & were in decline. I had held out hope that some ag group would clean it up,but never heard anything more. I f  anyone knows of a clean source I would appreciate learning of it.

When you get one , leave it in the whole & cover the entrance. Also learned that rubbing the trap on grass help [ supposed to leave a natural sent?]

There has been discussion of  DF & water . I had some extra cuttings of Selenicereus Megalanthus that I tossed aside about 6 month ago into a non draining pan. They have not received any fertilizer just neglect . From time to time I would dump out the water.   I can't post the pic!! but it shows plants w/roots growing ok under drowning conditions. Must remember that we never get to the low 60's; are very humid: & plants under ~ 50% shade. From what I can tell these could be grown hydroponically. Below is what I get on posting the pic // perhaps it will come out?

Would like ideas , suggestions, or examples of ways to have the tools that we frequently use in a devise [ belt?] that is carried on ones self. Store bought holders [ like for pruning shears] can be almost as expensive as the device its self. Also having everything in one place means not having to go back for what was forgotten!!

We dont have the 4 legged kine. We got worse; mongoose. Mongoose will even climb bananas, just like a rat. I did not believe that till I saw it myself.
Re protection; nature provides it with the spines on the fruit of Selenicereus megalanthus & its hybrids.
