We have them all over Los Angeles and Orange County. Here are a few giant seedlings:

Not too much differences between our seedling and the ones in Yucatan.

We have some here too. These mango trees are ~50 feet tall. One is a Haden and the other is an unknown. They were planted around 1960. They've had fruit on them since March but the squirrels get it all.

There are some large lychee and longan in the neighborhood too.

These trees did not produce as well this year as in the past.

This is a more typical Pinellas County mango tree. It ripens in August.

Its amazing that those Central Florida Mango trees were able to survive some of the recent winter freezes. I'm all the way down in Broward and some of my mango trees took a beating.

It wasn't pretty here either. In my area, January 2010 was the worst. Almost all mangos had their north side defoliated except those near the water. Some trees had their tops killed and many small trees barely survived. The only mangos I saw that year were growing at the beaches. However, the citrus was great. From what I read, the following December was almost as cold across the bay in Tampa but was not nearly as bad here. ???

Wow...Great Mango trees!!

This one was taken almost a couple of years ago in Lake Placid...was driving by and found it by accident. This house back yard is a good size lake. By the looks of the "4" trunks I would say it must have frozen at some point and came back from the ground? I tasted a couple of these...they look very similar and taste very much like a Haden.

The winter of 2010 was very devastating especially for Mango and Lychee trees... Some of the trees died while others were severely damaged almost to the stump.

This is one of two lychee trees of mine that died in the winter of 2010.
