Hey I try and be an honest guy. Thanks for the compliments. I'm surprised they smashed up cuttings from here to LA. I always try and pack them well. I may start packing them in larger boxes with lots of bubble wrap so they can't get smashed.
I mailed 2 large, thick pitaya cuttings in a USPS small flat rate box to a fella with no padding. Made it there in perfect condition. Box never gets crushed. That's the box I always use for plant material mailings like scions.Quote from: spaugh on May 09, 2018, 10:15:52 PMHey I try and be an honest guy. Thanks for the compliments. The DF cuttings I send definitely won't fit in small flat rate boxes.
I had Simon send me cuttings via Priority Mail, guess what I got empty box with tape on it. I do know Simon did not send me empty box for sure. LOL

LOLTotally irresponsible, unaccountable worthless bunch of asshats. If I could count on one hand all the problems I've had with the USPS. I've had important Humana Pharmacy meds get side tracked to other states for 3 weeks, a box of California avocados were sent via New Jersery before Xmas during a hard freeze, received other's mail and had mine lost resulting in crap like a delinquent insurance payment...I could go on and on. They just don't care. Like all govt. employees ya can't fire the bastards!
A lot of people work for the government--including the military, the FBI, local law enforcement, fire rescue and emergency services, etc., etc. I would imagine their incompetence, irresponsibility, and dishonesty when found reflect the general population.
So.... How about those avocados?!
I feel attacked. Lol. I do IT for department of transportation.
Good news and bad news. Its still alive, but a rabbit chewed the crap out of it. Like all the leaves got taken off and Im not sure if it will make a comeback because its on a shady spot. I may have to dig it out of the ground and move into the full sun to get it to go again.
Wow, poor dog. Stupid rabbits chew all my good stuff. Had a jack rabbit eating plumerias behind my house yesterday. Had one chew a nice mango tree in half a week ago. They are trying to get the water out of the plants since it never rains here. They eat my succulents too. I used to keep the 410 handy. But kept missing squirrels and rabbits. So now I keep a 12ga handy. Shot a big one that was eating plumerias yesterday.
