randia fitzalanii/yellow mangosteen????

got some yellow mangosteen (randia fitzalanii) seeds from tradewinds fruit a few months ago and these two guys popped up.  looks like purui????

They grow everywhere here as a native tree and are also in street and park plantings.They are not especially ornamental and the fruit are not edible as far as I know.

current name is atractocarpus fitzlanii, native gardeniam native mangosteen. Along with atractocarpus chartaceus they are supposedly good bush tucker, I have one but it hasnt fruited yet.

Yes, looks correct. Don't know how they came to name it anything mangosteen. There are big heavy bearing trees not far away and they look great in fruit, but I don't see any flesh among the seed mass.

Brown gardenia is a common name.The masses of flat small disc seeds inside don't have much of the brown tasteless paste around them.
