I'm brand new to growing Jackfruit, so am only relating my very brief experience so far. I have read about Jackfruit having deep taproots, so my goal was to get them in the ground as soon as possible, so their taproots could do their thing. I figured I'd hedge my bets with having half the in-grounders get the full sun location and the other half get the afternoon sun location. As I noted above, all are putting on new growth. I also have some seedlings in containers that are doing well. The containers also get afternoon sun, which can be a lengthy period of time here in Punta Gorda, FL. I planted the in-grounders the day before promised rains that never came. I made sure to water them every day and yesterday we finally got a decent amount of rain. Good luck!
