Update on seedlings
« on: February 21, 2016, 07:54:15 PM »
Excited to post some recent photos of my seedlings. I keep the humidity up by covering them with plastic bottles and keep the warmth in with a heating pad under them. Most seeds were purchased last autumn.

Looking good, what soil mix are you using?
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

Thanks! It's just organic miracle gro. I need to invest in a better quality soil! My Annonas always end up dying and I swear it's the soil! Or over fertilizing. What mix would you recommend? Could I possibly buy it in store in Ohio?

Any combination of peatmoss/coco coir in a 3 parts ratio to 1 parts perlite should work well for seedlings. I mix in mycorrhizae with the watering after the seeds sprout. You can mix oscmote slow release fertilizer. Or fertilizer after 2 weeks from sprouting with a diluted non burning fertilizer like worm castings, kelp, cotton meal, etc.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
