As far as I know FD gives more cold protection due to longer dormancy period than PT and of course having a less active growing period increase the dwarfing effect.

It's nothing to worry about!  ;)
This is happen most often with my citrus trees in the spring when the sap really starts to flow.

I'm collecting rain water to irrigate my plants in a big tank and sometimes the water become green/brownish due to algae & dust from house roof:


Next day after treating the water with H2O2 become crystal clear:


One thing is for sure, H2O2 is cleaning your water from unwanted stuff!  ;D

I believe it's salt injury. I suspect the stock is PT or one of his hybrids which are very sensitive to salts. Dry or yellowing appearing on edges of leaves, like in the photos is one of the most common visible salt injury symptoms. Take care!

Sorry, to be more precise:
C. Lemon 'Lipo'(Imperial Lemon) is belived to be C. Limon x C. paradisi.
C. lemon Ponderosa is believed to be Citrus limon × medica.
Both plants are similar regarding leaves, grow habit, blossoms just the fruit taste is different, Lipo has poor lemon aroma.  :(
I've also C. Lemon nine pounder(no fruit yet) which is very similar with Ponderosa and Imperial Lemon just has few nice thorns.
