I still do not know much about citrus tree's, how the different fruits taste like. To make matters worse I ordered a Sirahnui tree from Harris a while back and now i look at the fruit and it does not look like it.Through the years these things happens to my collection of fig tree's. Have to redo some of them.

No, my little tree did not die, it is in the shop doing good.It will probably not fruit next year. My Page had a off-year, it is in heavy bloom right now, in the shop under lights.

I ruined my little Xie shan by letting it fruit too soon, even though the fruits were excellent. One neighbor ate peel in all and thought it was great flavour.Counted 42 fruits.

Right now there are so many varieties to chose from. If you have to make a choice of 5, what would your no 1. My collection right now consist of only 4 that are producing and 4 are just 3 years old(seedlings).
Xi-shan, Page, shiranui, Meyer.

It was my understanding that Meyer lemons are the best kinds to grow, now we have New Zealand lemonade, Femmenello lunario, St therese of lisieux. I got to get sionwood of one of these three. Seeds are out of the question( i am too old, i can wait that long) Help? Bob
I have nothing to compare with i though Meyers are pretty good, have two tree's that are producing.I also have a dozen F D seedlings.

Where is Joe Real? Well Laaz it is coming, maybe it is this time of the year.
After the greening outbreak citrus seems to downhill. The guys in Texas are also worried to buy tree's.
Laaz are you growing mainly citrus or do you grow other subtropicals. You sure live in a nice part of the country. I allways like that neck of the woods, perfect for growing a lot of good stuff. Bob.

My sie shan are almost there, some are yellow, Meyer had some ripe ones but most are green with a lot of new ones and also new blooms. All others are just growing. In a few weeks they are all going in the garage for about a couple months

I believe that extra iron from steelwire embedded causes this. i did this with a pear tree where i ran a few nails around the trunk. This tree had never produce anything till the following year.
