I am a firm believer in Millets proven Low Biuret treatment. It works for me, especially this spring, my tree’s are super loaded in bloom and fruitlets.Last year, for the first time using L/B, I was already amazed. End up with a lot of nice fruits.
In my opinion, if you use this treatment at a young age, your tree’s might be hampered growing big and tall. I like to keep my tree’s up to 7 feet max. I have about 30 tree’s now growing pretty decent on seeds from Laaz, on the old forum. So I don’t know what rootstock they are growing on.

Millet, that low Biuret treatment I started in the beginning of December work out too good. Sprayed all my tree’s, small and larger have heavy bloom, most have small fruitlets. Never saw so many blooms . Hopefully they thinned themselves.
Have to give them 2 more sprays. It would make a nice display come fall.

Millet, you might be part of the blame. Laaz, had a part as well. Millet, have a question for you, you mention a few days ago about the Meiwa being so healthy, how does that compare with say a Santa Theresa?
I read an article a few years ago, about a lime or lemon from Iran that was super healthy. Are you familiar with that?
I don’t have any room in my growroom but if you have the answer I like to graft a stick on my Santa Theresa to try.
Btw, Phil send me giant Key lime seeds, but because my age I prefer sionwood instead, I could pass it on.

Took all my citrus tree’s out after previous attempts, because tree’s were in bloom and I want the bee’s to pollinate them.
Bee,s were active around 60*. That part was taken care of.
Btw Millet, did apply your advise with low biuret, have plenty of flowers and fruitlets.

I have received bud wood from Millet and those pieces are now nice looking tree’s, having now a few fruits to try. Transporting my tree’s inside for winter storage, a couple of them got knock of, one still green and the other was already yellow. Eat the green one first, already sweet and very juicy, seedless. It has a little mandarin taste to me, the yellow one has a stronger mandarin taste. Very interesting in these almost ripe ones, will try more as they get more riper. Interior, no color, skin is smooth. It really doesn’t taste like grapefruit, whatever it is it is a keeper.

My Valentine pummelo tree seems to bloom somewhat year around   However, spring has the greatest bloom.  Last season I left the off season blooms develop fruit, and they matured in late summer to early fall, normally Valentine matures January/February.  These off season fruit did not color up at all. the pulp remained white.  Further the pulp was somewhat dry and granulized.  I'm sure the absents of color was due to the absence of cold temperatures. Colder temperatures is required because the colorization is due to one of its parents being a blood orange. From now on I am going to remove all off season flowers, and only let the spring bloom develop so that the fruit matures later in the winter.
Millet, when do you expect yours to ripen and does color effect the taste? You keep your greenhouse at higher temps now and during the winter months?

Always nice to get encouragement from senior members. Btw Laaz, i live on a one of kind clear lake, Beaverlake and have created large fishbeds, consist of small and large trees, a lot of fish there, don't need my boat at all.
Fresh fish, no problem, any time, any day. My Meyer lemon is used more often now, Santa Teresa are coming on line now, sionwood from Millet. Already have fruit on them, not bad for 2017 winter graft. Need mild lemon for mild tasting fish.

Laaz , Sour Orange,Juanita, changshou, Miyagawa seeds, they all came from you, unfortunately they are used for rootstock. None of my trees has died using them. How did I managed to make 30 trees out of them, well there they are. All my trees are grafted, it sure helps.
Some of my trees are being trained to get ready for winter storage.

Winter storage.
