New mango growth stunted?
« on: September 08, 2019, 07:51:48 AM »
Our Coconut Cream mango had buds swelling just before hurricane Dorian. Just before the storm was about to hit we moved all plants to garage and left them in there for about 3 days. It flushed while in the garage.
We moved them back outside and it seems some of the new flushes are in shock and not developing properly. Do you guys think they will correct themselves? What should we do about this?

Im not an expert but maybe being in the garage for so long hurt the tree a bit.  If I were in your shoes I'd cut the new growth at the the nearest terminal where the branch still looks healthy.  Tip the leaves nearby to work the auxins and water it more that usual to get it to come back.  Again dont listen to me because Im not an expert but maybe wait for others to chime in.  I love pruning at terminals because the plant always rewards you with more branches.
