Hi,
Since some folks were interested as to what exotic fruit trees you can grow outdoors in Germany I decided to share a few. Here is a video of an outdoors Poncirus trifoliata flowering opposide of Heidelberg castle

Nice plant in an even nicer city but no surprise. Poncirus will survive in all but the very coldest places of Germany.

I remember reading a post (in another forum), someone had Trifoliate Orange growing outside and fruiting in Aarhus, Denmark. That's north of Germany.

I have seen a tree in the Botanical Garden Aarhus too. Climate there isn`t so different from northern Germany. Some days ago I was in the Botanical Garden Oslo and was curious if there is a Poncirus too. I couldn`t find one.

I still remember the horribly cold German winters of the 80es when the few Poncirus plants were damaged even in the most sheltered locations in the mildest regions. It has become much easier to grow such stuff nowadays.
