miracle fruit seeds and fruits
« on: September 26, 2012, 10:10:04 PM »
hello to all !

I have miracle fruits by the bucket load right now.

I'm selling seeds and also fresh fruits (only shipping in USA for fruits).

shipping via UPS overnight for fresh fruit orders is $15, and this can ship about 150-200 fruits per package.

fresh fruits cost 80 cents each...there is a minimum order of 10 fruit.

seeds cost 40 cents each.  there is a minimum of 10 seeds per order.  Shipping for seeds cost approx 3-6 dollars depending on speed of delivery desired and location.

any questions please post here!

thanks much,

Adam Shafran

I tested some 6 month old seeds recently and got 100% out of 10 seeds stored in clip sealed bags.I threw away 18 month old seeds before and noticed some springing up some time later.

depends on who's storing the seeds and how they are treated.

If you remove the flesh from the seed, viability is quickly diminished within 2-3 days (depending on conditions of where the seed is stored).

If you remove the flesh and put them in a moist paper towel, or coco coir, they will remain viable for months in a plastic bag.

they also remain viable much longer if the pulp is not removed from the seed...sometimes remaining viable up to 2 weeks or even longer  after being picked.

Totally depends on how they are stored. If you pack them in a moist medium and refrigerate them then they will last many months. If you leave them in a hot dry room they could be dead within 2 weeks.

Oscar I reckon many months and maybe a year for dry seeds in clipseal bags in warm conditions for high germination rates still.I have seed bags with dates written on from up to a year before get high rates of germination in spite of being stored in a hot room.My brother often sows old seeds and sells the seedlings.

Dry miracle fruit seeds?  They hate being dried at all (at least for me) and the won't sprout if left to dry for about a week or so, inside an airconditioned house.

OK thanks for letting me know. It was my impression that they can't be stored dried, but have nothing to back that up with. I always store them moist. I'm trying the experiment with bag you sent me. Let's see if i can match your results?

I never had results with seeds mailed to me , even still in the fruit , must be the wrong medium I used to plant them in , now seeds from my own tree grow well in peat moss.

Bad news: notoriously slow growing.
Good news: they can start fruiting when only about a foot tall. Also perfect candidates for fruiting in pots as they are little bonsai trees.

Here in very hot areas they prefer partial shade. Just don't plant them in full shade, because you won't get any fruits.
