Any tips for grafting Jackfruit & Starapple?

I have had good success with grafting generally but have had no luck with my limited attempts with Jackfruit and Starapple. I am wondering if it is due to the excess sap when I cut them ? My Canistels and Ross plants grafted well with plenty of white sap though, any ideas/tips are welcome as I will be trying again in a few months

Not an expert but I have heard that approach grafting works well with Jackfruit.  Several videos on Youtube on how to do it.  Not sure about star apple.
