Is the Bowen Mango a good variety?
« on: September 24, 2018, 11:49:20 PM »
I have a friend interested in planting a mango tree. He lived in Australia for a few years and really enjoyed Bowen mangos. These appear to be common down under, so my question is:

How does this tree stack up to the possibilities of amazing varieties of mangos, especially in Southern California (Fallbrook)?

Bowen-Kensington Pride is a good mango, but can't match up to the newer Zills varieties.
I tried KP only once.  Felt it was a typical classic mango flavor...good, but little to no complexity compared to other newer Zills varieties.
