I have them occasionally also. The taste is good, similar to a white sapote. But the seed/pulp/rind ratio is quite bad, at least on my tree. This is a fruit that needs a lot of breeding work. It could potentially be a winner, but has never been worked on, that i know of. Maybe there are better selections around that i'm not aware of. Mine came originally from Florida. Recher pointed out to me once that what is in Florida might actually be a different species, not really hypoglauca.
